Coolrunner, Ace V3, and Matrix RGH 1.2 — still a Phat story
YouTube titles love “RGH3 on everything.” Shop floor reality: Coolrunner, Ace V3, and Matrix-class chips are RGH 1.2 tooling for Phat boards (Falcon/Jasper class work). Slim Trinity/Corona work is mostly RGH3 now. Winchester is neither — Bad Update.
When RGH 1.2 is the right ticket
Customer brings a Jasper with an Ace V3 already wired. Do not rip it for RGH3 fashion. Clean solder, confirm POST, time once, move on. Method matrix: RGH methods. Timing discipline: timing without mysticism.
After POST: Dashlaunch still sits on a KeyVault
A Phat that glitches beautifully can still fail Live if the KeyVault in NAND is shared or banned. The chip did not invent a new serial. If this box needs a clean identity for Live or resale, replace kv.bin with a checked unshared vault — same aftercare as RGH3 Slims.
Stock we actually buy for those jobs: unshared.shop. Aftercare checklist: after the glitch.
Do not put Ace V3 on Winchester
Wrong silicon. Wrong decade of advice. Board ID first: identify motherboard.
