RGH1.2 vs RGH3 vs whatever the last video said

Reset Glitch Hack is a family of boot attacks, not a single chip. RGH1.2 still has a place on some Phats with Ace V3, Coolrunner Rev C, Squirt, or Matrix glitchers. RGH3 is what most Trinity and Corona jobs should be in 2026 if the board supports it: SMC-assisted, diode and resistor, no extra glitcher. EXT_CLK and older RGH1 flavors are specialist Phat conversations. Winchester remains a no. JTAG and R-JTOP are dashboard-era museum labels that do not mean “USB exploit.”

Identify the board before you order a Pico

Trinity Slims and Corona Slims share a silhouette and do not share a wiring diagram. Jasper Phats are their own afternoon. Falcon and Xenon are older still. If you cannot name the revision, you are not choosing a method. You are gambling with POST points and CPU_RST.

Method is not personality

Fast boot times are nice. They are not a moral victory. I would rather ship a 4-second RGH3 Trinity than a 1-second install with a lifted pad. Customers remember whether it turns on next month. Bad Update 1.3 customers remember whether Rock Band Blitz launched this session. Do not sell those as the same SKU.

Winchester owners get a conversation, not an RGH invoice. If a listing says “RGH Winchester,” it is a different product pretending to be this one.
