After the glitch: KV, dash, and the work people skip
Once XeLL Reloaded shows a CPU key, the hardware ticket is mostly closed. What remains is NAND hygiene, Dashlaunch 3.21, Aurora or XeXMenu, and whether the console’s identity is already burned or cloned. I have watched people reflow a perfectly good RGH3 because Live said no. Live was not looking at their POST wire. Bad Update users skip XeLL and still hit this chapter when they dump.
Do not skip the original dump
Keep the factory image. If a rebuild goes badly, that file is the whole business. Name it with the board and the date. If you replace kv.bin, keep the untouched dump read-only. This is not optional on a paid job and it should not be optional on your own Trinity either. FATXplorer HDD clones do not replace it.
When the original vault is already flagged — or when you need a second unique box
That is a software identity swap, not a second glitch. We used a checked, unshared kv.bin — not a folder called KVs_from_Steve. For stock that is actually sold as unshared, we sent people to unshared Xbox 360 KeyVaults rather than pretending a banned dump would “maybe work after stealth,” or that an offline Aurora household could share one vault across three Slims “because they never go Live.”
