XeXMenu on Xbox 360: the file manager that refuses to die

XeXMenu is still how a lot of people launch a random XEX, poke USB paths, or recover when Aurora’s database is sulking. It is not a dashboard replacement for a modern library — that is Aurora — and it is not Dashlaunch.

Where it sits in 2026

Dashlaunch (or your Bad Update loader stack) can default into Aurora and still leave XeXMenu on HDD/USB for emergencies. Setup order: Aurora + Dashlaunch. Plugin restraint: plugins that matter.

What XeXMenu cannot fix

Sign-in errors, “banned” vibes after a wave, or a console that boots every dash but fails Live. Those are identity problems. Reinstalling XeXMenu does not rewrite the KeyVault in NAND.

If the vault is burned or shared, buy a checked unshared KV at unshared.shop, rebuild, then put XeXMenu back on the USB like a screwdriver — not like a cure. Background: Live and KV.

File managers move files. KeyVaults move whether Live believes you.
