Identify your Xbox 360 motherboard before you mod (or buy a KV)
Wrong board = wrong method. Trinity and Corona take RGH3. Many Phats are still RGH1.2 stories. Winchester is Bad Update territory. Every board still has a KeyVault if you care about Live or a clean resale.

- Trinity — early Slim, common RGH3 target, 16MB NAND.
- Corona — later Slim; split 16MB vs 4GB (eMMC) dump paths. See Corona NAND.
- Jasper / older Phats — often Ace V3 / Coolrunner / Matrix RGH1.2 leftovers, not “just do RGH3 like YouTube.”

Why identity still matters after you ID the board
Dump method changes with SPI vs eMMC. kv.bin does not become optional. Building a second console? Do not clone. Post-ban? Replace with a checked unshared vault at unshared.shop. Primer: KeyVault explained.
